Career Experience
My teaching experience over the last decade has been split between certification as a Field Training Officer at a city police department and, most recently, as a teaching assistant/instructor of record at the university level. In the latter role, I have assisted in courses ranging from Introduction to Terrorism to Forensic Psychology alongside teaching my own course (Introduction to Homeland Security). This has afforded me unique experiences in tutoring within the topic of criminal justice/security studies as well as experience working with students of various backgrounds with a variety of different assignments. While my primary area of expertise is criminal justice/security studies, my primary focus when tutoring has been assisting in matters relating to English, proofreading, or other forms of persuasive/creative writing. I spend the majority of my non-teaching time writing various research projects of my own as well as assisting my students in crafting their own written projects. This affords me unique experience in both knowing what teachers/professors would look for in a professional submission as well as an understanding of how best to craft a paper around the skills and goals of a variety of different writers. Whether it be a paper for a high-school English class or a college-level research project covering a major-specific topic, I am able to assist in bringing the paper from the idea stage to final submission depending on your needs. Ultimately, I am here to help you succeed and am willing to work with you to establish the best way to ensure that happens.
I Love Tutoring Because
it offers me an additional avenue to help students who might be looking for assistance in specific subjects in which I am well-versed. This affords me opportunities to assist more students than I could in a singular classroom as well as further hone my own craft by staying on top of various subjects.
