Hi, my name is Lisa-Marie. I have been teaching and tutoring for 10 years. I have taught 4th-8th grades and at the high school level. I currently tutor students around the world of all ages. My passion lies in making math not just understandable but enjoyable. I use creative methods, relatable examples, and interactive activities to break down complex concepts into manageable steps. I encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills, celebrating students' "aha!" moments and building their belief in their abilities. My goal is to not only help them achieve their academic goals but also foster a positive attitude towards math that will benefit them throughout their lives.
I Love Tutoring Because
there's nothing more rewarding than the 'Aha!' moment a student has when a challenging concept finally clicks. It's incredibly motivating to witness their newfound confidence and understanding. I can help students see that math isn't just about memorizing formulas, but it's a logical and even creative subject! By making it fun and engaging, I can help students unlock their full math potential and overcome any anxieties they might have. I love tutoring math because it allows me to tailor my approach to each student's individual needs and learning style. We work together to break down complex concepts, explore different approaches, and celebrate each step of the way. It's a rewarding process to see students develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
