As a former professor, I know what professors are looking for in a good essay! I have been teaching at universities for 20 years, tutoring students on essay writing. I want to help you at any stage of essay writing. We can have a conversation to help you understand what the professor wants from the assignment, explore what excites you about the topic and focus your ideas into a thesis statement. If you've got this far, we can then get into the messy part of writing: structuring your essay, paragraphs and sentences, and citing your sources correctly. We can also work on revising and editing--such an important final step to really make your essay shine and stand apart.

At the start, I felt as if my tutor wasn't really helping me as she kept saying that she didn't know how to specifically help me because she didn't know how much out professor had taught us. However, later on in the session, I realized that she helped guide me into thinking more about the topic, which helped me create better analysis for my paper.
