Lebanon Valley College (LVC), a private, co-educational college founded in 1866, offers more than 40 undergraduate majors in the health professions, sciences, business and digital media, arts, humanities, and education. Hands-on learning, internships, and research are emphasized. LVC offers five direct-entry (bachelor's to master's) programs in Accounting/MBA 3+1, Athletic Training 3+2, Clinical Mental Health Counseling 3+2, Engineering 3+2, and Speech-Language Pathology 3+2, and a nationally recognized six-year direct-entry Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. There are more than a dozen graduate programs, including an MBA, M.Ed., and M.S. degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Exercise Physiology, and Intelligence and Security Studies. Close faculty-student relationships and mentoring are hallmarks of the LVC experience.
The college offers generous financial aid and guaranteed merit scholarships. Career success is integrated into the curriculum through the Edward and Lynn Breen Center for Career and Professional Development beginning in a student's first semester on campus.

All first-year undergraduate students can choose to use the LVC application or apply using the Common App. Transfer and part-time students should use the LVC application. The college offers rolling admissions for most undergraduate programs. Six LVC programs require additional application steps with a deadline of January 15: Athletic Training 3+2, Clinical Mental Health Counseling 3+2, Music, Nursing, Physical Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology 3+2.
In addition to an application, first-year, full-time undergraduates must submit an official high school or home school transcript. LVC is test-optional (SAT code 2364; ACT code 3610).
Transfer students should send official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.

Academic Success: The Center for Academic Success and Exploratory Majors provides comprehensive, student-centered academic support to all LVC students. The Center's main services include one-on-one academic coaching, peer subject tutoring, peer writing conferencing, and advising for Exploratory (undeclared) majors.
Honors Program: LVC's Honors Program is a living-learning experience for students who combine strong academic preparation in high school with strengths that move beyond the classroom, such as evidence of leadership, interdisciplinary interests, and community service. Academic standards for admission into the program are usually a high school GPA of 3.5. The program combines specialized academic and out-of-class opportunities, including designated Honors courses that focus on hands-on, immersive learning and interdisciplinary exploration.
Research First: LVC's Research First program provides incoming first-year students with the opportunity to conduct one-on-one paid scientific research with a professor and/or student-faculty research teams the summer before their first semester. Research First grants are available in biology, biochemistry & molecular biology, chemistry, environmental science, neuroscience, and physics. Students across disciplines have ample opportunity to engage in research and creative projects throughout their time at the college.

Tuition for the 2023-24 academic year is $48,890. Room is $6,830. Board and fees vary according to the plans available. A typical cost for board is $6,850. Students should plan for an additional $4,000 for fees, books, transportation, and personal needs.
Financial Aid
One hundred percent of LVC undergraduates receive financial aid through LVC's Scholarship Guarantee. The college offers five levels of guaranteed scholarships to admitted students, along with the invitation-only, prestigious John Bowman Allwein Scholarship. Honors, music, departmental, and named scholarships are often included in financial aid offers. The average of LVC grants and scholarships per student for 2023?24 is $32,595. LVC's financial aid office is happy to walk students through the process of applying for aid and loans and completing the FAFSA.

More than 1,600 undergraduate students call LVC home, and more than 400 graduate students take courses online and in-person. Forty percent of undergraduates are recruited student-athletes. The Flying Dutchmen NCAA Division 3 teams play in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC). Students come from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, and Virginia, and from as far away as Alaska, Michigan, California, Ireland, and the Ukraine. The campus is welcoming to residential students and commuters.
Musical and performing arts are popular activities among LVC's students whichever their area of study. The College's Pride of the Valley Marching Band is the largest in the MAC. The student-run Wig & Buckle theatre company puts on multiple shows per year. Students also compete in esports and intramurals and join cultural, special interest, academic, and service-focused activities.

Location
Lebanon Valley College's 370-acre campus is located in Annville, Pa., eight miles from Hershey. Annville features a historic movie theater, restaurants, antiques, and cafes. Pizza, pho, natural foods, a juice bar, and live music are within steps of campus. Students go to Lancaster, Hershey, and Harrisburg to attend professional hockey, baseball, or soccer games and see some of the world's best musicians perform with the Hershey or Harrisburg Symphony Orchestras. Theater, shopping, miles of rail-trails, foods from cultures around the world, and some of the world's most famous rollercoasters are all nearby. LVC is within a couple of hours' drive of Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.
Campus Facilities & Equipment
Jeanne & Edward H. Arnold Health Professions Pavilion houses the college's Exercise Science, Athletic Training, and Physical Therapy programs. Its Lewis Human Performance Lab features a fully integrated motion analysis system and a Gross Anatomy (Cadaver) Lab.
Digital Communications and Interaction Design students get practical experience in a Maker Space, a Usability Lab, and an Emerging Media Lab, where students gain an understanding of and exposure to disruptive technologies, assess the strengths and weaknesses of these technologies, and aid in developing design strategies for them.
Instrumentation in the sciences includes an ISI scanning electron microscope, a Zeiss transmission electron microscope, mass and infrared spectrometers, a new NMR, and a forthcoming engineering physics lab.
Off-Campus Opportunities
LVC offers semester abroad programs in London; Berlin; Perugia, Italy; Belfast, Northern Ireland; Valencia, Spain; and Hamilton, New Zealand. Through LVC's popular summer abroad programs, student travel to, and learn in, Canada, Costa Rica, Perugia, Northern Ireland, Scotland, or Maastricht, Netherlands.
