Career Experience
I have been happily working full time as a nanny for ten years. My former charges include sets of twins and triplets, infants, toddlers, as well as young adults. I currently care for an 8 year old little girl, her 6 year old brother, and their 2 year old sister. Along with this "day job," I am fortunate to supplement my income as a tutor and with gigs as a freelance musician. Both of my degrees are in music performance, so I sing as much as possible while still maintaining my busy schedule as a nanny and tutor.
I Love Tutoring Because
Tutoring allows me the flexibility to schedule sessions when the timing is good for me. Beyond that, I enjoy the challenges of working with different students that have various learning styles. Also, I find that tutoring has renewed my interest in literature and ideas that I was introduced to years ago, but now enjoy exploring as an adult with the life experience I have gained since then.
